The Group Therapy Centre - Cambridge
“The Group Dynamics of Everyday Life”
Presenter: Dan Neale, M.Inst. Group Analysis and Child Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, Institute of Integrated Systemic Therapy
A series of four workshops utilizing film and television clips to explore and explicate group dynamics in everyday life.
These workshops will be of interest to anyone who works in or with groups, teams, families, institutions or networks and wants a unique and accessible introduction to understanding group dynamics and processes.
Freud said that
“the unconscious of one human being can react upon that of another, without
passing through the conscious.”
…this leads to all sorts of fascinating and complex dynamics: so how much more so when several people get together?
We live in what many have described as a “Golden Age of Television.” In this series of four CPD sessions, Dan will use a series of brief clips from television and film to illustrate a variety of group phenomenon, exploring how and why such processes occur.
All sessions are standalone, however, attending the series will give opportunities to deepen discussions and understanding. There is a reduction in fees when attending all 4.
Sessions will be conducted online via Zoom. Dates and Times:
Saturday 10th April 2021 10:30-12:00
Saturday 8th May 2021 10:30-12:00
Saturday 5th June 2021 10:30-12:00
